It is an organization devoted to bringing together those who have circumnavigated the globe and to encourage global fellowship and understanding. It was set up 100 years ago in New York. Early members were famous, or associated with exploration and diplomatic assignments including Harry Houdini and Buffalo Bill!
The Order Of Magellan is awarded to exceptional members who have achieved extraordinary Circumnavigation adventures. Past Award Recipients include:

I must admit I was very honored to be asked to be a Circumnavigator and to join in a club where there are so many inspirational people trying to make this world a better place. So, not only am I proud to be able to call myself a Circumnavigator and represent the ideals of encouraging global fellowship, understanding and stimulating intellectual debate but I am proud to be a Welsh Circumnavigator in Wales !!!!!!!!!!!
And with that in mind I'm pleased to announce that in March 2010, UK Circumnavigator President Ms Helen Jenkins will be launching a Circumnavigators Event in Cardiff, Wales .
Speakers : Mrs Rosie Swale Pope MBE and Charline Evans
