Bahçeşehir Uğur Educational Institutions

I was invited to Istanbul by the Bahcesehir Group of Educational Institutions and visited three schools and the Bahcesehir University.

Bahcesehir has 17 Private Bahçeşehir Kindergartens, 15 Private Bahçeşehir Primary Schools and 5 Private Bahçeşehir High Schools across Turkey. I was warmly welcomed at the Private Bahçeşehir College and Private Bahçeşehir Science and Technology High School, İstanbul, the Private Bahçeşehir Primary School, İstanbul and Private Bahçeşehir College Florya

The Bahçeşehir K-12 School are  located in Bahçeşehir, İstanbul and  was founded in 1994. Their mission is to become one of the leading educational institutions in Turkey that will foster students who: 

• master the skills and knowledge to keep abreast of and steer the rapid changes of the 21st century
• have grasped the significance and value of the establishment and existence of the Turkish Republic
• are adept at accessing information and demonstrate the ability to extend and expand upon it
• are able to synthesize previous knowledge with cutting edge innovations
• are able to communicate in at least two foreign languages accurately and fluently
• have developed a sense of self-awareness and the ability to express their thoughts coherently.

The Bahçeşehir K-12 Schools became the first school outside the USA to receive the Blue Ribbon Schools Blueprint for Excellence Award given by Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, INC. which is a non-profit organization dedicated to educational success.

I was greeted by an enthusiastic group of students and staff who shared with me their hopes dreams and concerns for their future. The schools are well resourced with materials and staff, the teachers reflect the varying cultures of the cosmopolitan city of Istanbul and promote Innovation. I saw excellent examples of Language, Science and Technology Teaching and Learning  and would like to wish everyone here the very best for the future, I really do hope your dreams come true.
